Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: Whether it is an adult, a teenager, or a child, we first start with a very careful assessment of the history, review of background, family, and developmental history with an eye to ruling out comorbidities. Looking at the academic performance going back to elementary school is also important. Since ADHD is 80% inheritable, the family history is important. The first session is usually to get the overview. From there we go through an assessment process.
