Insurance
We take all major health insurances including Anthem, Tricare, Optima and others.
There are many different insurance plans out there so we do recommend that prior
to your appointment you call and verify that we are participating office and that
you familiarize yourself with your policy. Copays are expected at the time of your
visit. For your convenience, we accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard as methods
of payment. Our Insurance department is available from 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through
Friday and can be reached at 757-498-9391 option 6.
Telephone Calls
We have a wonderful staff who answers the phone from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through
Friday. For emergencies after business hours please call our answering service at
757-875-9486 and the on-call physician will be paged. In case of a medical emergency
please call 911 or proceed to your nearest Emergency Room.
If you are calling for a prescription refill we do ask that you call our 24-hour
prescription line. Please have the medication name and dosage, as well as the pharmacy
name and telephone number. Keep in mind not all medications can be called in, and
some must be picked up at our office during our business hours. We will request
a phone number where we may reach you over the next 24 hours if we have any questions
or problems regarding your refill. We do ask that you give us 48 hours to call in
your prescription. It is most helpful if you know your prescription is going to
run out to give a call one week prior. You can call directly to the prescription
line at 757-498-9391 option 5.
Office Hours
Our office hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. On Friday we
are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All of our providers have their own hours, and might
work outside of these office hours. If you need to cancel an appointment we do ask
that you please give us a 24-hour advance notice.
